Does a video check replace hands-on checks?
It replaces routine trips where your procedure allows a visual check. Which checks may be remote is your IACUC's decision, and hands-on care continues as your procedure requires. We set it up around your approved procedure.
Which racks and cages does it fit?
Cameras mount on common rodent racks. Tell us your rack and cage models and we will confirm the fit; old or scratched cages are harder to see through, for a camera as for a person.
Can staff see animals during the dark phase?
Ask us about infrared options for your rooms. We will match the camera setup to your light cycle.
Does our footage leave the site?
Not with SwiftSENSE Edge: it records and stores on your own computer and storage. Hosted features and optional AI are separate choices you make.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Edge can run offline, with remote access through your own network and your IT team's controls.
